Mr. Sean Conley
Biography
Mr. Sean Conley is the new assistant principal for Barkley Elementary School. He brings to DoDEA 7 years of elementary, middle, and high school teaching and administrative experience. After separating from the military in 2015, Mr. Conley was afforded the opportunity to share his technical and professional skillset with the Christian County Public School System as the high school Computer Science and Engineering teacher at Gateway Academy to Innovation and Technology. While at Gateway Academy, he served as Lead SkillsUSA Advisor and Head VEX Robotics Coach. In 2019 he was voted the Kentucky SkillsUSA Advisor of the Year and in 2021 Kentucky VEX Robotics Coach of the Year. Mr. Conley has served as assistant principal at both Freedom Elementary (21-22) and Hopkinsville Middle School (22-23).
Mr. Conley was born in Ft. Lewis and his family settled at Ft. Campbell, where he later enlisted in the U.S. Army after high school. He served his 10-year enlistment with the 160th SOAR(A) as an Information Technology Specialist Paratrooper. While serving, he earned his Associate of Arts and Bachelor of Science in Multi-Disciplinary Studies from Grantham University. He went on to earn his Master of Science in Career and Technical Education (2018) as well as his Master of Arts in Education Administration (2022) from Murray State University.
Mr. Conley is excited to serve the students, families, and community of Ft. Campbell, KY. He has a passion for leading students to become lifelong learners and productive members of society. He understands the challenges that military families face and hopes to use his experience as a military dependent and service member to better serve the community.
Mr. Conley and his wife Kathryn have five children and he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
